Silo SoundLabs LLC
Established in March of 2018, headquartered in Southern California with office, laboratory, and recording facilities while networked globally, Silo SoundLabs is poised to fully harness the remarkable processing power of today’s computers and change the way music production professionals approach tracking and mixing – with the goal of enhancing the creative workflow.
Decades of Experience
Benchmark tests have shown Silo plug-ins to use less than 1% CPU load, with latency of less than 100 microseconds – or less than 1/10,000th of a second. 100 instances of a plug-in can run on even the most pedestrian computers, drawing less than 5% CPU load (results will vary). No longer must you make mixing decisions based on CPU overhead – every track can get a plug-in, or multiple plug-ins, without having to print or freeze a track.
The SiloDNA proprietary digital signal processing modeling methodology is the core technology upon which Silo SoundLabs software plug-ins are built. While non-linear system identification has been studied and practiced for many years, it is by no means a “new concept.” As with any methodologies, however, there are new ways that can be adopted within this field. Multiple non-linear components work in parallel within our SiloDNA technology, short for ‘Dynamic Node Architecture.’ All of these modeling elements together respond and perform differently depending on the type of source material or input stimuli, just like the actual analogue hardware.
Vintage Series Software
The Vintage Series of audio plug-ins from Silo Sound Labs captures the warmth, the punch, and the unmatchable presence of classic analog gear and accurately recreates it in the digital domain. These iconic brands and classic devices form the unshakeable foundation of recorded music. Start building your library of vintage plug-ins from Silo Sound Labs and make them the foundation of your music history.
In Q1 2020, Silo SoundLabs launched its first products with the Vintage Series – software models of classic audio processing hardware. Additions to the Vintage Series are slated for 2020, plus a surprising new line of custom plug-in effects.
Research and development will continue as Silo SoundLabs grows, laying a foundation for the creation of software and hardware products that expedite the workflow and facilitate the work of music and audio production professionals worldwide.
